2017 NFL Week 5 Power Rankings and Predictions

Week 3 was all kinds of crazy, and Week 4 brought more of the same.  The Texans dropped 57(!) points on the Titans, the Bills took down the undefeated Falcons, and the Patriots lost their second game at home to the Panthers on a Graham-Gano game-winning field goal.  The Rams proved they’re legit, the Jets won their second in a row, and at home against a fellow winless team in the Bengals, the Browns got smoked.  Let’s take a look at the Power Rankings, still very much in turmoil.

I suffered a brutal round of Sunday early games and went 9-7 in the pick’em last week, bringing my record on the year to 37-26.

And to wrap things up, here are my picks for Week 5 as we enter bye week season.

Teams on Bye: Broncos, Falcons, Redskins, Saints

Survival Football “Lock of the Week”: Eagles – While the Cardinals do enter at 2-2, they’ve struggled in victories over the Colts and 49ers without David Johnson, while the Eagles have impressed, soaring to the top spot in the NFC East.  At home, gotta like Philly getting the W.  Alternatively, the Bills on the road in Cincinnati seem to be another relatively safe bet.
